International Commercial Terms, better known as Incoterms®, are just about the 3 most important letters in any international sales contract.  Before you can understand export or import documentation and compliance, you will certainly want to understand the basics of Incoterms®.  If your shipment is damaged along the way, how do the parties know where cost, risk and tasks lie?  Delivery, not title of ownership, transfers according to the Incoterms® rule you use.  This course, offered by the regional expert in Incoterms®, will give you a foundation for knowing the eleven different rules, which differ greatly from domestic shipping terms, such as FOB.  These rules were just updated early 2011, so if you haven’t received a refresher on those changes, now would be a great opportunity.

This half-day seminar provides a basic overview of the rules and materials you need to use these improved Incoterms® rules to your advantage as seller or buyer.  Bring your copy of the official ICC Incoterms® 2010 rules with you to the class; copies will also be available for purchase.

Consider taking both “Foundations of Incoterms 2010” and “Advanced Incoterms 2010” as a full-day training. Register for both classes and lunch will be included.
