You may have been intrigued with the idea of being an importer for years. Or it could be that the challenges of today’s economy are driving you to find overseas sources of materials. Or perhaps, you just love to travel!

Whatever your motivation for wanting to be an importer, there is always the question of the “first step.” Where do you begin? Your questions might be:
  • How do I decide what to import?
  • How do I select a country in which to search?
  • How do I find a supplier?
  • How do I ensure quality?
  • How do I pay for the goods in a safe manner?
  • Who arranges for the shipping and how is it done?
  • What are the paper work requirements?
  • How do I manage risk and make sure I won’t be cheated?
  • How do I calculate all my costs?
  • Where do I start?
The answers to these and many more questions will be provided in this training. And what is more, you will be able to ask your own questions and receive answers from professionals with many years of experience in the world of international trade.

We recommend taking all three import training programs (Boot Camp for Importers, Import Logistics, Import Compliance) at one time as a two-day conference.
