This course deals with topics such as: how goods clear Customs, documentation requirements, how to correctly fill out your paperwork, payment of duties and liquidation, Protests, adjustments (PEA/PSC), roles and responsibilities of a broker/freight forwarder, supply chain security, basic “Landed Cost” concepts, and case studies focusing on basic concepts of import classification and filing entry with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Katie  is an Import Manager and Licensed Customs Broker at Gallagher Transport International, Inc., a customs brokerage firm established in 1990. Katie assists many importers in dealing with U.S. customs.  

Prior Knowledge...
It is highly recommended that you attend Exporting and Importing 101, Incoterms 2010, and Boot Camp for Importers prior to this training as this course material will build on knowledge from those seminars.

This training counts 4 hours toward a Certificate in International Trade.
