Immigrant and Refugee Program
World Trade Center Denver works in partnership with other local organizations to provide the Immigrant and Refugee Program. The program provides services through its different levels aimed at educating and developing the participants to compete in business on a local, national and international level. The goal of the program is to empower the participants and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the community, whether that be through the operation of their own small business or in an established international business. The program also aims to develop the personal and professional connections with the participants’ homelands, ultimately connecting Colorado to the world and making I a more globally-recognized state.
Program Description
The program is divided in three levels. Each level is designed to meet the participant’s business goals based on their expressed desires. As part of the intake process, we will evaluate the participant and match them to the correct level. LEVEL I
If you need help improving your English, adapting to a different culture or writing a business plan, this the place to start. In partnership with the local organizations, we will help you find English classes and other necessary training that will help you succeed. In this level, we also hold a workshop where you can learn how to write a business plan.
LEVEL II
If you completed Level I of the program or do not need help with a business plan then the next step for you is the Level II. In this level, we will connect you with mentors from around the Denver metro area that can help you expand your business and develop the necessary skills.
LEVEL III
In the final level of the program we work with you on completing the Certificate in International Trade. The Certificate in International Trade Program is designed to build a comprehensive set of skills that help you assess the opportunities and risks encountered in international business. Upon completion of the Certificate, you will be equipped with the knowledge and credentials to succeed in a globally competitive marketplace.
